Remember George Bailey? Well, he goes by Bo these days, and the scared, severely underweight 58-pound dog who came into our rescue is now 84 pounds of enthusiasm, personality, and a whole lot of love for tennis balls.

Thanks to his wonderful foster family, Bo has discovered just how good life can be. He loves outdoor adventures, truck rides, splashing around in water, and most of all, being with his people.

Bo is an affectionate, goofy Hound/GSD mix who bonds deeply and wants to be involved in whatever you're doing. He's smart, likes to stay close to hi humans, and has done well around cats, rabbits, and even deer.

He's still working through some anxiety, learning to settle independently, and figuring out how to make canine friends. He also needs some ongoing skin care. What he really needs now is a patient foster who can offer consistency, companionship, and plenty of opportunities to keep building confidence.

Bo has gained 26 pounds and a whole new outlook on life. Now he just needs somewhere to keep enjoying it.

Benny, 3 yrs

Australian Shephers/Beagle, 40lbs

Meet Benny a.k.a. Deputy Sniffington!

Benny joined us recently and has been busy showing us exactly what happens when you mix Aussie brains with a Beagle nose. He’s curious, affectionate, hilarious, and deeply committed to scent-based investigations (deer may or may not be his nemesis).

Benny is a big snuggler, a professional meal-requester, and an all-around charming little guy once he feels safe. That said, he does have some reactivity on leash, particularly with other dogs and unfamiliar men. He’ll need an adopter who’s patient, consistent, and willing to put in the work, and we're happy to provide hands-on guidance and ongoing support to help Benny continue building confidence and better coping skills.

In the right home, Benny is going to be an absolute gem - loyal, funny, and deeply bonded to his person. If you’re experienced, open to training, and looking for a dog with a lot of personality (and a very impressive nose), Benny might just be your guy!

Please, no kitties and smaller pups, his Aussie side believes they're super fun to chase!
